Eco Cascade CIC is a new seaweed company setting up primary processing facilities harbour-side in Kyle of Lochalsh. Processing will commence this Spring, and we are now recruiting for 2 important management roles.
RESEARCH MANAGER - Seaweed Processing
Salary range: £38-40k per annum F/T + benefits; flexible hours
Location: Kyle of Lochalsh; hybrid working
The Role: The Research Manager will undertake seaweed quality testing, create projects which expand knowledge around stabilisation of seaweed for a range of end-markets, and take responsibility over contract research projects.
Our Ideal candidate: MSc or PhD in relevant area such as marine biology or physical or biological sciences with experience in management & budget responsibility. Previous work in a food manufacturing environment to at least HACCP/BRC standards an advantage.
SEAWEED PROCESSING MANAGER
Salary Range: £38-40k per annum F/T + benefits; flexible hours
Location: Kyle of Lochalsh
The role: The Processing Manager will ensure correct use of processing plant & maintenance of equipment, implementation of standards & process flow across both seaweed processing & seaweed research areas, applying traceability & hygiene protocols.
Our Ideal candidate: BEng or MEng or other relevant engineering qualifications, experience in a food product environment with several years management and budget responsibility, with experience working to HACCP/BRC standards and knowledge of production processes a distinct advantage. Full UK driving license essential.
